Sustainability is one of the strategic priorities of our company and is a part of our DNA. We feel it’s important to be in-the-know about sustainability, and try to implement it into our lives as much as we can.

Whether it’s turning the light off, closing a water tab, separating plastic bottles or volunteering for the local community, we do things each day that impact sustainability.

Being sustainable is a priority for our company, which is why for the third time in a row, Coca‑Cola HBC Serbia organised Sustainability Week. At the start of June of this year, the Sustainability and PA&C teams joined forces to educate and engage internal and external audiences on the most important sustainability topics.

Internally, we wanted to inform our employees on the steps the company is making for a more sustainable future, as well as advising them on how they can contribute.

Although sustainability is a serious topic, we believe learning about it should be fun. So, we introduced a series of online and offline games. A fifth of our employees engaged with the online game, but the live games were even more popular. We designed a pop-up Escape room that we took to the major towns in Serbia – Novi Sad, Belgrade, Čačak and Niš. It turned out to be a unique, positive experience for the 348 colleagues who participated.

Throughout Sustainability Week, we also showed our care for the community. Our volunteers helped renovate the yard of a local school, and invited our employees to collect bottle caps and donate them to Cep za hendikep, a charity for those who are disabled. We proved it takes little effort to make a big difference.

It’s important to do good, but we feel it’s important to talk about it, too. Traditionally, we showcase our sustainability efforts through a local Sustainability Report. Important stakeholders, partners, suppliers, customers and media representatives all participated.

Overall, Sustainability Week this year was a huge success, and we hope to continue the imitative next year and well into the future.
