We are a member of UNESDA and uphold its commitments on public education, community wellbeing, consumer information, advertising and commercial communication, research, promotions, providing beverage choices, and reducing added sugar by 10% by 2020 in Europe.
The CSR Alliance was launched in 2006 and organised on behalf of the Commission by CSR Europe. The European Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen invited us to be part of the CSR Alliance. The initiative aims to share best practice in CSR and encourage more companies to implement and report socially responsible behaviour.
This network of corporate community investment professionals from many of the world’s leading companies works to apply, develop and enhance the LBG measurement framework which focuses on community investment. Coca‑Cola HBC is a member of this network and our community data are verified by the LBG since 2007.
In 2005, together with The Coca‑Cola Company and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), we launched the Green Danube Partnership which calls for a commitment to protect and preserve the river and its ecosystems. To make this happen, we’re carrying out conservation, advocacy, awareness and education in 11 countries. We have community water partnerships in 24 countries overall.
There is a global agreement between the Coca‑Cola system and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. This means that we work with national Red Cross societies on emergency relief and other locally relevant issues across our territory.
