Mentoring at Coca-Cola HBC recognized externally for its unique approach

Coca-Cola HBC’s mentoring programme has won this year’s CIPD award for “Best Coaching and Mentoring Initiative”, with the judges appreciating our approach to talent development and our culture of continuous development.

Our programme met various criteria, such as impact of the initiative on both organization and people, creativity in approach, evidence of mentorship being sustainable beyond its immediate impact, as well as potential to drive lasting cultural change.

Mentoring at Coca-Cola HBC has evolved considerably since we first introduced a systematic approach in 2017. It is currently the most popular development activity in the company, with a global pool of around 700 mentors.

Learning and inspiration come from various sources. For us, the common element is always people. Mentorship plays a crucial role in solving the equation of building a culture of continuous growth. We believe real mentorship takes place when both mentor and mentee inspire each other and grow together. It is this approach that makes mentorship a great learning experience in our organization. We are thriving to build a culture of continuous learning and this award is a great motivation for our teams to continue on this path.
