Support for the humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine and the region

Over the past week we have been following the news from Ukraine with heavy hearts, concerned about our colleagues in the country and deeply saddened by the devastating impact this terrible conflict has already had on people’s lives. 

Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we are doing everything we can to support our people, their families, and the humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine and the region.

Our immediate actions are coordinated with The Coca-Cola Company. Together we are donating €1million directly to the Red Cross operating in Ukraine.

In addition, the Coca-Cola Employee Disaster Relief Fund has been made available for all employees based in Ukraine.

We are also contributing to Red Cross organizations in neighboring nations, including Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. So far, we have donated more than €550,000 in these countries.

We are donating our products in Ukraine and in the region to support those in need, including refugees, and we are launching a platform this week to allow all employees to donate to The Red Cross, which we will then match.

Our colleagues are also volunteering to support the humanitarian relief effort. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and everybody in our organization that is playing a role and helping. We are grateful for the tremendous compassion and support shown for one another and our communities at this time.

At the start of the conflict, we paused our operations in Ukraine for the safety of our people. We have now resumed our operations in areas of the country that are not directly impacted, and we will continue our activity where it is possible and safe to do so.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide help as and where we can, working with international NGOs and local authorities.  

Our hearts go out to every single person affected by this terrible crisis and our utmost hope is for a very fast and peaceful resolution.
